Welcome to Family Faith 2022!
Happy New Year! We are truly grateful that you have chosen Holy Family Parish’s Family Faith Program to continue to grow your family's spiritual learning!
Our virtual religious education program incorporates spiritual growth and learning for family members of all ages. The monthly zoom/in person sessions and weekly newsletters include activities that promote discussion and learning. As parents, it is our role to model and teach our faith to our children. Holy Family Parish values and appreciates parents as they are the most important teachers to our children. Family Faith provides parents the resources to become our children’s most important spiritual role models in faith.
Our January Family Faith Zoom Meetings begin the week of Sunday, January 23. Together with your children, please join the zoom session for the class that you are registered for. These links will also be sent in an email reminder prior to the session. We look forward to see your family online!

Mass Readings for Sunday, January 23: Third Sunday in Ordinary Time
In this weekend's Gospel, Luke describes Jesus as coming to save us from blindness and sin. Through his Gospel description, Luke describes Jesus as a teacher and leader proclaiming the message of the Prophet Isaiah, demonstrating He is our Messiah.
Different than any other Gospel, Luke begins his Gospel with a Prologue (verses 1-4) where he includes a statement of what he is about and why he is sharing these accounts. Luke describes Jesus standing up in the synagogue and reading a passage from the prophet Isaiah describing the coming Messiah. Here he is announcing himself as the Messiah as he applies the words to himself “the spirit of the Lord has been given to me”.
Jesus' “mission statement” of His kingdom is bringing good news to the poor, liberty to captives, sight to the blind etc. Jesus is the servant king and we are called to be the same. In our giving and receiving as one Body, we enable each other to experience enrichment (overcoming poverty), vision (banishing our blindness), and freedom (removing oppression). As our savior, we need to be personally united to Christ. In other words, we must become friends of Christ.
Let's Get Started!
To grow our faith, it is important to come together to share ideas and help to support our children. Our Family Faith Program consists of:
- Monthly Zoom or In-Person Sessions provide interactive family activities based upon the theme of the month.
- Weekly Family Faith Newsletter coincides with the Sunday Mass Readings to support a deeper understanding of the Readings and messages from the Bible.
- Weekly Family Form Surveys are included in each week's Newsletter. Please use the activities in the Newsletter to complete and submit these forms with your children.
Although we had hoped to begin this year with in-person sessions, unfortunately due to the increased Covid numbers, we will remain virtual for our monthly January and February sessions. By March, we hope the situation will improve so that our monthly sessions can be in-person. Please note:
- When our monthly meetings are ZOOM Sessions, we will meet for 30 minutes virtually.
- When our monthly meetings are IN-PERSON Sessions, we will meet for 1 hour at Sacred Heart Church.
Similar to last year, participation in Family Faith will be based upon attendance at monthly class zoom/in person sessions and Weekly Family Form Surveys. The schedule for our monthly class zoom meetings are listed below. Please complete the Family Form below with your family.
It is important that we have your child's up-to-date records of sacraments. If you have not yet submitted records of sacraments or payment, your child's registration is not complete. To complete the registration process, please call Jennifer and Rocio at the Parish Office: (732) 545-1681 ext 101 or 102.
Uplift Video of the Week!
Daddy's Little Snow "Helper"!
It's that snowy time of year! The time we know we need to shovel the snow...and our children want to "help"!
Check out this adorable video of a toddler helping his Dad to shovel the snow. The toddler clearly had some trouble, but Dad quickly got him back on his feet and they continued the job seamlessly!
