The EPHS CTC Bi-Weekly Update
Thanks to All Who Helped to Make the Townie Bazaar a Huge Success!!!
We must extend a giant THANK YOU to the entire EPHS Family for organizing one of the best holiday bazaars EVER!!! The way that so many of our faculty and staff, students, alumni, families, and community members came together to support our school was truly moving. This event truly personified what TOWNIE PRIDE is all about!!
Hundreds of Townies braved the elements to come together for food, fun, and crafts. It was heartwarming to see so many old friends catching up in a way that hasn't been possible for a few years; this time in a beautiful new school building.
We are also humbled by the generosity of the community. Our programs raised thousands and thousands of dollars that will go directly to the students for equipment and materials, uniforms, student trips, celebrations and other students events.
We are very grateful for all the support and look forward to making the Townie Bazaar an annual event!
Recruiting Season is Underway at EPHS Career and Tech
As we approach the middle of this school year, it is time to start thinking about next year and the incoming class of 2027. Current 8th graders at Martin and Riverside Middle Schools represent the future of the EPHS CTC, and we are poised to help those students prepare for College and Career through enrollment in one of our 11 programs:
The class of 2027 will have several opportunities to learn about our programs over the next month. First, student from our programs will visit RMS on 12/6 and MMS on 12/16 for a CTC Fair in which they will conduct demonstrations and talk to the 8th graders about what it is like to be a student in their CTC Program.
Then on January 5th & 6th, 8th graders will be bussed from Martin and Riverside to tour the CTC Program classrooms and Labs at EPHS during the school day to see the classes in action and learn more about how to apply for a program that interests them,
Finally on January 12th, student will be able to come in with their families to the EPHS Open House for Incoming Freshmen from 6-8pm for one more chance to visit program classrooms and labs, this time with their parents.
The application for admission to the Career and Tech Center will be open on our website, eastprovidencectc.com, beginning on February 1st and will close on March 15th. Applicants will be notified of acceptance in mid April.
