A BOSS Weekend!
Please join us in congratulating members of Santiago's Color Guard! This weekend at the WGASC Championships the girls won their division by 6 points, earning the Gold Medal. There were 64 teams in the HS AA division!!!
Here is a link to their CHAMPIONSHIP performance:https://youtu.be/j85ZujVMcSs
Additionally, members of Santiago's Jazz program took top honors at the Duarte HS Jazz Festival:
- Jazz 2 - 2nd place in their class
- Jazz Combo - 2nd Place in Combo
- Jazz 1 - 1st place in the top class (Highest scoring group of the festival)
The lasting impression of Mike Gangemi's life was felt at this festival, where he was often an adjudicator. In Mike's honor, the award given for the outstanding soloist of the festival was re-named the "Mike Gangemi Award for Outstanding Jazz Solo." It was only too fitting that it was given to Santiago's Brian Camarillo.
