April Library Newsletter
What's up in the world of the Wolverine Library!
March was a short month for library happenings since we were closed for a week for testing and then we had spring break. All of the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade ELA classes did get to come in for a biography lesson for Women's History Month and have a chance to check out books. And the 8th grade math/7th grade accelerated and bridge classes came in for a fun lesson on 3d printing. We received two new shipments of books, so watch for those new titles to hit the shelves!
New Books!
Most new books come already covered and barcoded from the seller, but some books were out of stock at online and I went to get them from Barnes & Noble. The downside of that is I have to put covers on them myself and have the district catalogers put the books in the catalog, which slows things down a bit. :(
Play-Doh Creations!
A class came in for a reading of a book and then we created some of our thoughts with play-doh to show off.
Tinkering with Math Classes!
The 8th grade math/ 7th grade accelerated math classes came in to learn how to use the program Tinkercad to create 3D designs online. The students will take these designs back to class and use math to calculate the volume and surface area. Students can also send designs to me to print on our 3D printer!
The library also hosted a panel for our Magnet School in honor of Women's History Month.
Library Statistics

Overdue Library Books!
There are a lot of books overdue right now. Since we are nearing the end of the year, please look under your beds and in your closets to find those Zachry library books that are missing! I'd love to see those books back where they belong so others can enjoy them.
Most Popular Books This Month!
April is National Poetry Month
Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
In April we write poetry,
And read it, too!
