Galveston ISD Partners with IVP
Galveston ISD announced its partnership with Integrated Viral Protection to install more than 200 biodefense indoor air protection units throughout its 12 campuses and other facilities. The Houston-based company’s air filtration technology is proven to immediately eliminate 99.999% of airborne SARS-CoV-2 virus.

Galveston ISD Police Department Receives PPE Donation
Galveston ISD Police Department received a generous donation of PPE for the district from the National Guard Armory with the assistance of the Galveston County Emergency Management Department.
The donation included 10,000 surgical masks, 3,000 assorted nitrile gloves, 500 face shields, four cases of gowns, 20 cases of disinfectant spray, 25 cases of hand sanitizer and 20 cases of disinfectant wipes.

S.A.I.L Gets Hip to Habitat
Ms. Ektefaei’s biology classes are participating in Galveston Bay Foundation’s Get Hip to Habitat program. They received grant money to help pilot the at home kits proving that remote learning can be hands on and connected to our community. This spring they will take all of the plants and put them back in the bay.
