A Note from Mr. Dansby

Dear Parents,

Spring is definitely here, at least that's what the calendar says. It may seem hard to believe but summer is just around the corner and we have already started planning for the next school year.

Third and fourth grade testing dates are listed in this newsletter and we ask that you please make sure that your child arrives on time to school these days. Students arriving late will be unable to go to their classroom until testing is completed. We also ask that you avoid scheduling appointments in the morning on testing days.

Earth Day is in April and we want to encourage everyone to help keep our community clean! The week of April 18-22 our local Tussing Block Watch will be sponsoring a Clean Up Competition. We will end the week with planting a tree as a celebration of our previous counselor, Mrs. Baird on Saturday, April 23rd .

Sincerely,

Mr. Dansby

Community Clean-up Competition

Earth Day is in April and we want to encourage everyone to help keep our community clean! The week of April 18-22 our local Tussing Block Watch will be sponsoring a Clean Up Competition!

Two classes will have the opportunity to win a Lowe's Build and Grow Workshop and Pizza Party for their classroom. The winning classes will be measured by:

  • The class with the most students participating
  • The class that collects the most trash/litter

Classes will have a week to collect trash/litter around the community. This can be with their classroom teacher around school grounds or on their own after school. In order for your child to be included in this contest, please take a photo of your child collecting trash/litter and a photo of them next to the bags of trash they collected. Email those pictures to: contact@tussingblockwatch.com Please include your child's name and their Homeroom teacher's name in your email.

For more information, please contact Summer Moynihan at contact@tussingblockwatch.com
