During the night, St. Nicholas, the patron saint of children, hops from house to house carrying a book of sins in which all of the misdeeds of the children are written. If they have been good, he fills the shoe or boot with delicious holiday edibles. If they have not been good, their shoe is filled with twigs.
Who brings gifts?
In Germany St. Nicholas brings the children gifts, not Santa Clause.
How do they decorate?
In Germany the women set up and decorate the Christmas tree and the kids are not allowed to see the Christmas tree until it is done.
Are they any other holidays that are celebrated beside December 25?
Germany does not celebrate any holidays close to their Christmas.

Germany has food like plump roast goose, christstollen, lebkuchen, marzipan, and dresden stollen.
