World Hello Day

This holiday is recognized by over 180 countries as a day of peace and personal communication. In Autumn of 1973, the countries of Egypt and Israel created this observance in an attempt to resolve conflict between the two nations. Since then, this holiday has grown so much and is celebrated by thousands of people world-wide. Supporters send simple messages to political leaders, encouraging them to resolve conflict and head for world peace.

The Challenge:

Say hello to at least ten people on World Hello Day (November 21). It'll brighten their day! Whether it's someone you have known forever, or someone you've never seen before in your life, smile, look them in the eye and say "Hello!"

  1. It will lift other people's spirits, as well as yours!
  2. It will help you with your self-confidence, especially if you are saying "Hello!" to a stranger!
  3. World Hello Day, with enough supporters, could eventually persuade the political leaders of the world to stop fighting as much! World peace, anyone?
