What's For Lunch?
Shelby County Public School students recently enjoyed Beef Sliders for Lunch! The fresh ground beef is from a local Shelby County farm, L & M Farms- Linda and Michael Metts
According to our Food Service Coordinator, Wendy Greenwell, "locally sourced food is great for us because of the freshness of the product. It is great for the farmers to be able to sell locally as well because it doesn't have to be transported as far and the quality holds better. Also, it is great for the local economy, and we have stability in knowing we will have the product available to us."
And, our students really enjoyed lunch! #shelbyinspired #IL3
