Young Musician's Honor Band
Miss Pearl City Visits Students
Miss Pearl City, Gia Dougherty, met with fifth-grade students at various elementary buildings to promote her platform, 'Eat Healthy, Not Less.' Students learned about the types of eating disorders, symptoms, and effects. Gia shared her personal struggle with an eating disorder and how she recovered. Her mission is to help people to love what they see when they look in the mirror every day.

4th Grade Penny Wars
The 4th graders at Grant held a penny war to raise money for MCSA and the Humane Society. Around $415 was raised by Grant students!

SuperStart Super Stars
Jefferson students at Super Start showcase their amazing talents and dance moves every morning.
Ms. Story's ASL Class
Ms. Story's ASL Class at Jefferson has been studying Deaf Culture this quarter. We have done Deaf art, Deaf dance, Deaf storytelling, ABC Stories, and now music. The students in the ASL class have worked hard all week to learn, film and edit their own music video.

West's MathCounts Team Takes 1st Place!
The West Middle School MathCounts team took first place amongst the teams they competed against today. Congrats also goes out to Garrett for achieving first place individual champion!
Muskies of the Month!
These are some of our awesome Muskies of the Month at West that we celebrated this week. 7th and 8th Grade Orchestra held a concert last night for the community. They did a great job!

The Muscatine FFA started off the 2019 FFA Week with a bang as FFA members competed at Sub-District Contests hosted at North Scott on Monday, February 8th.
In Conducts of Meetings- Ava Daufeldt, Grace Williams, Eve Millage, Riley Webber, Caleb Trosen, Jessie Salazar, Spencer Kilburn. 3rd place Gold, alternate to districts.
In Parliamentary Procedure- Brooke Horton, Andrew VanNice, Jamie Sprague, Sophie Crook, Alexis Moeller. 2nd place gold, advancing to districts.
Creed Speaking- Jaiden Schmelzer. 2nd place Gold advancing to districts.
Prepared Public Speaking- Hannah Spies. 3rd place Gold, advancing to districts.
Extemporaneous Speaking- Hope Reichert. 2nd place Gold, advancing to districts.
Job Interview- Alli Youngbauer. 3rd place Gold, advancing to districts.
Individual Ag Sales- Alley Gray. 2nd place Gold, advancing to districts.
Radio Broadcasting- Jocee Boynton. 1st place Gold, advancing to districts.
Manual Quiz- Belinda Brain. 1st place Gold, advancing to districts.
Greenhand Quiz- Autumn Brunk. Silver.
Chapter Test- Joshaua Robinson. Bronze.
Welding Team- Crew Schleisman, Patrick Pendleton. 1st place Gold, advancing to districts. Patrick 3rd place individual Gold advancing to districts. Crew 4th place individual Gold, alternate to districts.
