Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemorative Brunch 2023
Please Join Us...and bring a friend!!!
Happy New Year ! We hope that you and those you love are well. We would like to invite you to attend the 2023 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemorative Brunch, which will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 13, 2023 at the Magnolia Ballroom of the Georgia College Student Activities Center. The last few years have brought about changes to many areas of our lives and to the way that we do things in our organizations and institutions. Though the commemorative program has looked differently over the last few years, our commitment and work towards the Beloved Community is still strong. This year, the theme is aligned with the King Center: It Starts With Me Cultivating a Beloved Community Mindset to Transform Unjust Systems. The brunch will include guest speaker, Janice Jerome, from the Restorative Justice Institute of Atlanta as well as the Georgia Conflict Center. We are also bringing back a few of our traditional elements to the event such as musical selections, a student panel and greetings from our community leaders. A new addition to the event this year is a non-profit vendor fair in which attendees will be able to interact with and learn more about service opportunities in our community.
