Harmon Middle School Beginning Band
Enrollment for the 2018-2019 Sixth Grade Beginning Band starts today.
Instruction on band instruments - woodwind, brass and percussion - is offered in all Pickerington schools, beginning in 6th grade.
The primary activities include becoming musically literate, learning to play band instruments, and experiencing the joy of making music together. The enjoyment children feel when they learn to express themselves through music increases self-esteem at a very critical period in life.
Also, for the 2018-2019 school year, all band classes will be held during the regular school day.
We hope that you will encourage your child's participation in the 6th Grade Beginning Band. Playing a band instrument is a worthwhile activity, not only during school years, but throughout life.
Parent Informational Meeting, Tuesday, April 3 at 7:00 pm at Lakeview Junior High Gym.
Fitting Session, Tuesday, April 10 - Please sign up for you personal 10 minute fitting session at our website: www.Pick6Bands.com.
No musical experience is necessary to try an instrument.
