It is a great chapter for teachers, parents, administrators....even spouses!! I learned so much in all roles that I have in my life. Really looking at why people do what they do...and how to help!! The chapter is a must read! We can change lives! :-)

- Thanks for a great first week of Progress Monitoring! The RtI team has been hard at work updating the Electronic Data Boards with your information. The next Progress Monitoring will be the week of Nov. 10th.

Character Quality for November - Gratitude
Professional Development and Learning - Faculty Meetings, PLC's, and Kelly Leach Visits
- November 3rd: Faculty Meeting 3:30 Working Agenda
- November 4th 3:30: Meet with ELA reps from each team - discussion: writing rubrics and data analysis processes - meet in the Think Tank
- November 5th: Kelly Leach Visit to share information on data collection and lesson planning for Guided Reading - meet in the Think Tank...she will also be available after school if you miss her during the day.
- Nov. 2nd - 6th: First Campus Writing Benchmark (Composition and Grammar) Please share the prompt and the grammar assessment you plan to give the students. You may email it or drop it in our boxes. Once you give the writing assessment, use rubrics to rate the compositions quickly and also grade the grammar sections, so we can analyze Nov. 10th.
November 6th - Student half day - Create Third Six Weeks Assessment Plan. The Agenda includes: PTA luncheon, short mini lesson, and then work on third six weeks Assessment Plan and Assessment Development.
Pre-work for November 6th: look ahead at the curriculum so that teams are familiar with the KUD - what students need to Know, Understand, and Be able to do.
- November 10th - Faculty Meeting - Writing Benchmark Analysis (due to the way the calendar worked out...we will have two after school faculty meetings in a row and then no PLC or faculty meeting the following week)
- November 12th - Kelly Leach on campus to continue to share, discuss, and collaborate on data collection systems and Lesson Planning. Meet in the Think Tank.
- November 17th - No PLC or Faculty Meetings
- November 19th - Guided Reading Walkthroughs conducted by Kelly Leach.
- December 10th - Guided Reading Coaching Sessions on the Walkthroughs that were conducted Nov. 19th.
