Dear Parents and Guardians,
Happy New Year! I am so excited about our second semester of the school year! Our students and teachers are working hard to ensure that our students learn at high levels.
I regret to inform you that Ms. Roseborough's is no longer serving in the role of Lesslie school nurse. We appreciate Ms. Roseborough's service to the students, parents, and staff at Lesslie and we wish Ms. Roseborough the best in all her endeavors. We are excited that Mrs. Donna Freemon has joined our staff as school nurse. If you have questions or concerns about medical issues, please feel free to call Mrs. Freemon at 981-1910.
I will be meeting with students to target strategies that he or she can do to show gains on the MAPS assessment in the spring. I constantly remind students that our focus is teaching and learning. Our goal at Lesslie is for every student to achieve at the highest level possible. Please continue to encourage and support your child’s education by talking with your child about what they are learning at school, communicating with your child’s teacher, attending family nights and supporting our PTO.
Safety First
Please remember to adhere to the speed limit (10 mph) when on school property. I realize the urge to drive fast to get your child to school on time but it is more important that everyone is safe.
If you have questions or concerns about an issue, please contact your child’s teacher. If after speaking with the teacher, you still have concerns, please contact me or Mrs. Ramet, assistant principal, at 803-981-1910. We will be glad to assist you and come to a resolution that is in the best interest of your child.
"Our school values learning, achievement, collaboration, and responsibility as cornerstones of our learning community."
Children First,
Seberina Myles, Ed. S.
