Recent Parent Academy Workshops and Real Talks for Promotion
Parent and Community Engagement: The NEW Judy Center at Hall’s Cross Roads Elementary:
Harford County Public Schools is excited to announce it has recently been awarded a $330,000 Judith P. Hoyer Early Care and Education Center (Judy Center Early Learning Hub) Grant for fiscal year 2022 to serve the Hall’s Cross Roads Elementary School community. Take a moment to watch how the new Judy Center will provide comprehensive early care and education services for young children and their families to promote continuous improvement towards school readiness.

Parent Academy Stock Market Game Resources
The Stock Market Game (SMG) is intended to be a completely flexible experience. Users are encouraged to follow a pace that best suits the schedule, needs, and abilities of the student investor. Instruction can be facilitated by the parent through the use of Teacher Support Center lessons and activities, or families may opt for a more self-paced experience through the use of the SMG Student Activity Packet.

Family Friendly School Award Program - November Voting Begins Tomorrow!
The November nominations for the Family Friendly School Award will post on the Parent Academy page of hcps.org tomorrow, November 10, 2021.
If nominated this month, rally your community to vote for your school here: https://www.hcps.org/parents/parentacademy/familyfriendlyschools.aspx. The voting window will be open November 10 through 11:59 p.m. on November 17.
We can’t wait to announce the winning school for November later this month!
Next Meetings - Level Alike
Now that Mary Beth Stapleton has met with each PACE liaison and heard about the great PACE work going on the 1st quarter of the school year, look for a meeting invitation to level-alike, regional meetings in Quarters 2, 3, and 4. Using the guidance of Dr. Constantino Five Simple Principles, PACE staff will work together to solve challenges and celebrate success in engaging every HCPS family every day.
Reminder: Information About Compensation for PACE Liaison Duties
Linked below are two (2) payroll forms that you should use to submit your PACE hours for payment. There is one form for Teachers to use and another form for Support Staff to use. Instructions on submitting your PACE hours for payment are also included.
