Sanger Education Foundation Scholarships - Now Open!
SEF SCHOLARSHIP DEADLINE - MARCH 22ND
The Sanger Education Foundation 2020 Student Scholarship application is online and now available for your student to begin the application process. The application link can be accessed directly at https://sangereducationfoundation.communityforce.com/Login.….

PLEASE NOTE:
Scholarship applications are queued to close the application portal at 11:59 on March 22, 2020. The process still requires all application areas, including transcripts, letters of reference and essays to be completed at 100% on the applicant's dashboard, before the application can be successfully submitted by the student.
San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo
We had a " Big Weekend" at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo. Please help us in congratulating the following exhibitors on a great Wether Doe Show.
Class 2 Champion - Kielee Whitewood
Class 4 10th Place - Jill Reding (bred and owned by the exhibitor)
Yearling Doe 3rd Place - Lilly Links
Yearling Doe 4th Place - Lilly Links
Kielee showed in the Grand Champion drive for a chance to win a $10,000 scholarship.
Congratulations, Cheyanne Brewster, on exhibiting a 10th Place Chester White Breeding Gilt at the San Antonio Livestock Show and Rodeo.
San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo
On Super Bowl Sunday where could you find members of the Sanger FFA? At the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo, of course!!!
Congratulations, to the following young ladies:
7th Place Middle Weight Sounthdown - Kaylee Almand
15th Place Class 7 Market Goat - Jill Reding
10th Place Class 9 Market Goat - Kielee Whitewood
It was a weekend of "firsts." "First" last judging contests for our seniors and lots of first contest for the rest of our crew.
We are looking forward to an incredible year with both the Wool & Meats Evaluation Teams!

I am proud to report the following:
Gavin Wallace, Bo Woods and David Dellinges auditioned last night in the final round for Texas All-State Auditions. (Chair placement)
Keep in mind, these young men are representing Sanger ISD and competing against thousands across the state to get to this final round.
Gavin Wallace placed 2nd in the State on Trumpet. (11th grader)
Bo Woods placed 2nd in the State on French Horn. (10th grader)
David Dellinges placed 1st in the State on Bass Clarinet. (11th grader and Two time all state participant)
We are very proud of the work these students have done to represent the Spirit of Sanger Band and Sanger ISD. They will be performing a concert on Saturday and are now classified as the top 1% of Musicians in the State of Texas.
Congratulations to these great musicians!
Bells Tennis Tournament
Bella and Katlyn took first in girls doubles at the Bells Tennis Tournament in Princeton! Fernanda and Mackenzie took fourth in girls doubles. Fatima took fourth in singles.

Fire Fighting Program - Date Change!
As we begin planning schedules for next year, keep in mind the following information if you are interested in joining the Fire Academy:
Fire Science Parent Information Night
Wednesday, Feb. 26th @ 6:30 PM (New Date)
NCTC Gainesville – Health Science Center Rm. 2410
Any incoming junior that is even slightly considering the program should attend the meeting. Attendance is mandatory for anyone who will enroll, and they must bring a parent. There is a large amount of information that we must go over and we need to ensure that students and parents are making an informed decision prior to registering.
