Congratulations to Our Cast of Shrek Junior!

Congratulations to our Drama Club who performed Shrek Junior on May 16 and May 17. Large crowds came to see our students perform on both nights. Thank you to all of the students, staff, and volunteers who contributed to this performance.

One2One Chromebook Information

In June we will begin the Chromebook collection process. Starting Monday, June 3, students will use their Chromebooks during the school day and not take them home. Students will need to bring their chargers back into school as a part of this collection process on Monday, June 3. If your child has lost his or her charger, there will be a $25.00 charge to replace it.

Pennsylania Junior Academy of Science Winners from Murray Avenue

Lower Moreland Township School District had representatives from Murray Avenue at the 85th annual state meeting of the Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science (PJAS) competition held at Penn State University main campus from Sunday May 19th through Tuesday May 21st. These students previously presented their projects at the regional competition in February and advanced to the state level. Murray Avenue School came home with six 1st place score awards, and five 2nd place score awards.

MA Students Recognized for Achievements in Math and Writing

MA had three teams participate in both the Regional and National level Thinking Cap Quiz Bowl competitions, the National 3-2-1 QUnlimited competition, and the PA Math League.

Here are the results:
  • 6th Grade AT placed 5th in the nation in the elementary division of the 3-2-1 QUnlimited competition!

  • 7th Grade AT placed 3rd in the regional (Chester, Lancaster and Montgomery Counties) in the PA Math League competition with Maggie Ruan ranking 3rd place in the individual student ranking for the region. Both Maggie Ruan and Katie Bednarz have been invited to attend the Math League International Summer Tournament based on their exceptional performance in this competition.

Published Authors: 7th Grade students, Clancey Benfer, Alexandra Berzin, Sophia Kohmann, Nidhi Ram and Julie Zesinger were recently published in the Young Writers Publication Stranger Sagas Across the USA. Students were challenged to write a mini saga, a story in 100 words or less, that took the reader to a strange new world. These five Murray Avenue 7th grade students were chosen among thousands of submissions to have their pieces published. Congratulations!

Lower Moreland Girls Lacrosse Clinic for Grades 6 through 8

The Lower Moreland HS Lacrosse Team is sponsoring a free lacrosse clinic for girls in grades 6 through 8. The clinic will take place on the turf field Monday, June 3 through Wednesday, June 5 from 3:15 pm to 5:00 pm. MA Spring Showcase on Thursday, June 6, 2019

On Thursday, June 6, 2019, there will be an open house at Murray Avenue. Starting at 6:00 pm, you can come learn more about technology integration at Murray Avenue with our Tech Information Night presentation from 6:00 to 6:45 pm in our library. Learn more about how students and teachers are using technology to support learning in our classrooms. At 6:45 pm, classrooms will be open for students and families to view projects and work from the spring. We hope you will stop by!

8th Grade Promotion Brunch - After the 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony on June 18th, MA PTA will host a brunch from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at Philmont Country Club.
