Winter Break!

Morgan had a busy, musical week this week! Thank you to Miss Quagliotto and Mrs. Rosso for our third and fifth grade music concert on Tuesday evening. Students did a wonderful job and looked like they were having fun with the songs and musical instrument performances.

The Eisenhower High School show choir visited Morgan on Wednesday afternoon to entertain students with their music from Aladdin and holiday favorites. It was nice to see several Morgan alumni in the group visit their former elementary to share their music.

The end of the week was very busy with classroom activities and celebrations. Students are every excited about the upcoming break and holiday season. Thank you to all of our Morgan parents who were able to volunteer to help with classrooms and lunchroom support during this exciting week.

Morgan is participating in a Wellness Break over the winter break. We encourage you to focus on your child and time with family and friends to take a break from school work. No specific homework assignments, projects, or tests are being assigned, but students are encouraged to keep up with reading and catch up on any work if needed.

As we come to the conclusion of the 2019 year, I would like to wish all Morgan families a wonderful winter break and a Happy New Year! Enjoy every moment with your child over this season of reflection, relaxation, and celebration!

Happy New Year!

Mrs. Lasky

Eisenhower NHS Tutoring

The Eisenhower National Honor Society is hosting a weekly FREE tutoring session held on Wednesday afternoons from 4-6 PM in the Eisenhower Media Center, beginning October 9.

Parents may register their students by submitting a request located on our website:

This will allow us to prepare adequate tutors for each subject matter. We ask that parents complete the form by Sunday night each week in order to allow us to organize the correct number of NHS students.

Their goal is to provide a safe and productive environment for both students needing help and our NHS members offering their service. Additionally, a staff member will be on site every week checking in registered students and monitoring the sessions.

Looking for Lunch Monitors!

Looking for help on Monday, Tuesday and Fridays!

Morgan Elementary is looking for help in the lunchroom! Each year, we are allowed to hire 8 adults to help supervise students on the playground and in the lunchroom throughout our lunch hour. We would like to thank our parents who have already notified us that they will be returning to join our lunchtime this year and are looking for more support!

If you would be interested in helping in the lunchroom, please fill out a lunch monitor application with EduStaff. A link to the application can be found below. You will need to create an account, enter your information, complete some online training modules, and have a background check with finger prints. Then you can work as many lunch days as you would like and be paid for your help!

Several of our lunch monitors also complete additional training in EduStaff to serve as substitute paraprofessionals in our building. If you are interested in becoming a substitute paraprofessional, please use the EduStaff application process below.

If you have questions about becoming a lunch monitor or the online process, please contact Melissa Roth in our main office at 586-797-5800.
