6th & 7th grade Camp News
Thank you for all of the continued support of Mayville’s Environmental Camp program. Although camp may look different this year, we are pleased to announce that there are plans in progress! Please understand that decisions regarding camp are district decisions that consider the health and safety of the students, teachers, camp staff and community.
We are currently planning “Day Camp” activities at Ziegler Park in the spring for two days for 6th grade students, followed by two different days for our 7th grade students who did not have the opportunity to attend camp. The week of May 17th has been officially reserved as “Camp Week.” Students will walk to Ziegler Park and attend some of the same classes offered at Camp Anokijig! All classes will be attended with their cohort. Breakfast and lunch will also be provided. Students will walk back to school for the end of the day dismissal. More information will be provided as details are worked out. Thank you for your support as we do our best to give your child the camp experience during a pandemic.
Meanwhile, stay healthy and remain positive! We will be in touch!

Congratulations Nikki Williams!!
Meet Wisconsin DPI School Nutrition Programs December School Nutrition Superhero of the Month---Our very own Nikki Williams, Food Service Director at Mayville School District. Nikki was nominated for her wonderful efforts to incorporate scratch cooking into her menu as well as her positive attitude and passion for serving students.
When asked what she loves about her job Nikki said “I love ...that I get to feed kids 2 meals a day 5 days a week. As a dietitian, I feel that school food service can truly make a difference in the way our kids view food and that we can help influence their entire day. I work with an amazing team that is dedicated to making mealtime the best part of a students day...I work with a supportive administration and teaching staff that are very good about offering help whenever needed and ideas to make the food service program the best it can be. I also have a wonderful and supportive school board that has put their trust in me and have allowed me to grow and expand the program to include the breakfast program, sharing tables(in a regular school year) and the summer meals program.” Thank you, Nikki, for all you do to help serve Wisconsin students healthy school meals!
