When did you start at HSBC and what‘s your role and project?

I started at HSBC in early December 2015 and have joined the Loans as a Product (LaaP) Team in a BA role. The project is currently sponsored by GBM’s Capital Financing department where the team are conducting Process analysis across a range of Loans products.

Where are you originally from?

I have grown up in London but my family are a mix of Irish, Spanish and American.

Shawshank Redemption

Ken Follett

If you were stranded on a desert island which famous person would you have with you and why?

Bear Grylls – no explanation needed. He can make living anywhere comfortable.

What‘s the most embarrassing song/artist on your music playlist?

I’m sure I have a couple of Shakira songs on my phone but no idea how they got there ….Honest!

What‘s your favourite sport?

I enjoy Rugby (mainly watching it these days), Skiing (the long lunches), Sprint Hurdling (110m and 400m), Windsurfing, Paragliding, Golf and Cricket. I will play pretty much any sport; I grew up throwing myself at everything. Some might say jack of all master of none……………..

What’s your proudest achievement?

Growing a pair….. and finally asking my girlfriend to marry me.

What‘s the coolest place you’ve ever visited?

In 2010 I completed the Mongol Rally. A team of 3 of us took a £600 car from Gooward racecourse to Ulaanbaatar. The trip took us through some incredible places but without a doubt the most memorable sights were those of the Gobi desert.

What else should we know about you, what’s your hidden talent, what else would you like to tell us about yourself?

  • Left University in 2008

  • Joined the Army – 7 years (Areas of focus: Intelligence, Reconnaissance and Sniping)

  • Currently studying for Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA)

  • Nearly finished my Low level basic Paragliding license

  • Trying desperately to build up the courage to sign up for the Marathon des Sables 2017.
