5th Grade End of Year Video

Every year, Smith celebrates its fifth grade graduates with a special video. The video includes all 5th graders, highlighting their years at Smith - from kindergarten to 5th grade. The video will be shown to 5th graders and their parents during the last week of school. The 5th grade teachers would like to thank Linda Crossman and Lana Cordero for taking on this huge project. We really appreciate you!

Now, they can't do this on their own. Your help is critical to the success of this project. In your child's thursday folder today is a blue piece of paper that explains what is needed for the end of year video project. Please look over it carefully as all the directions are there on what you need to do and how to share pictures. There are email addresses if you have questions.

National School Breakfast Week

Studies show that students who eat breakfast have better attendance, perform better on tests, and show better concentration, alertness, comprehension, memory, and learning than students who skip breakfast. We invite all students to jump start their day with a healthy breakfast from our café, served daily 7:15-7:40. Students can purchase a balanced breakfast for $1.50. Students qualifying for free or reduced price lunches also qualify for free or reduced price breakfast.

Smith Child Nutrition is celebrating National School Breakfast Week March 5-9, and invite all students to pick up a free pancake breakfast on Friday, March 9th. You don’t want to miss this special treat.

Growth and Development Video

On March 9th, the boys and girls will be separated to watch the growth and development video to learn about the maturing process. If you have not yet sent back the permission form, either giving permission or not, please do so as soon as possible. If you have any specific questions, please contact our nurse, Carissa VanStory at VanStorC@friscoisd.org
