A Message from the Principal
Dear Sheridan families,
This week has flown by! As educators, this time of year is so satisfying because the children are so well-established in their routines and expectations, which enables amazing things to happen academically. What is all the excitement, you may ask? Some highlights are below!
- Early Childhood - Exploring Community Helpers, clapping syllables, and recognizing letters in their names and classmates’ names. Plus lots of Valentine fun!
- Kindergarten - Enthusiastically writing in their Squiggle Journals. Also loving Mystery Reader and making predictions in Number Corner.
- First Grade - Farm unit is underway! Will work up to designing an urban farm solution.
- Second Grade – Exploring all things Poetry. Current emphasis is on repetition and the impact of using precise words.
- Third Grade - Engaging conversations in Book Clubs and excitement about the upcoming Science Olympics.
- Fourth Grade - Studying the American Revolution. Super excited about today’s Patriots vs. Loyalists Debate! See pics below.
Have a fantastic weekend!
Sincerely,
Susan
