How does Cuba's history affect the people's diet?
History plays a large role in Cuba’s agriculture. If it weren’t for Spain finding Cuba the Cuban diet would have been very limited, leading to their nutrients being very limited as well. As Cuba developed it came across new allies, such as the U.S. and the USSR. These two world powers (Soviet Union not a world power, but when it was with Cuba it was) traded with Cuba, allowing Cuba to grow economically. Because Cubans traded with countries they became acquainted with, they grew in their ability to farm more efficiently.
