Biology Ecology Project
By: The Vishals and Trevor
Abiotic
The security camera represents abiotic factors because it has no life.
Biotic
This grass represents biotic factors because it is alive and depends on the same basic factors that all lining things need to live.
Autotroph
This plant uses photosynthesis to make its own food, which is what an Autotroph does.
Heterotroph
Trevor here does not make his own food and relies on eating other organisms to feed himself.
Food Chain- Producer
This plant is the first because it is a producer which is an Autotroph that produces it own food to survive.
Food Chain- Primary Consumer
This fish here eats the plants to obtain it's own food. it is an herbivore that only eats producers.
Food Chain- Tertiary Consumer
Kyle here eats fish. He is an exception because sometimes tertiary consumers eat primary consumers too. Humans are good examples of this case.
Food Chain- Decomposers
Ants are very important decomposers. Although they are mistaken for scavengers, they aren't because they chew all of the food found.
Current Weather
Well, the current weather is what the weather is right now, so..... this is it!
Carbon Cycle- how it gets in our atmosphere 1
Vishal's guinea pig, Buddy, exhales carbon dioxide into the atmosphere all the time.
Carbon cycle 2
Another way is decaying animals. They release carbon when they die.
Carbon Cycle 3
Another way is that Carbon is released from the ground. The ground always has some form of Carbon in itself.
Carbon Cycle 4
The last way is through release of pollution through excess use of fossil fuels. They emit lost of CO2 which although releases carbon hurts the environment.
Carbon Cycle how it is taken out
It is taken out by photosynthesis, which is performed by plants around the world.
Water Cycle
In this photo, you can see the clouds and the water on the ground. These are some of the results of the water cycle.
Nitrogen Cycle
This is an good example of the nitrogen cycle because the nitrogen goes to the ground through animal manure.
Phosphorus Cycle
This picture shows this because the rock can contain phosphorus which goes to the ground.
Mutualism
This shows this because the bee gets nectar and the plants gets to reproduce. A win-win scenario.
Commensalism
In this mini aquarium, the fish gets protection an the coral doesn't care.
Parasitism
In this picture, the strawberry gets hurt while the fungus harms it to live.
