On Monday, March 6, E. C. Glass will launch "Second Chance Breakfast", giving all students the opportunity to eat a healthy meal to fuel up for the day. Second Chance Breakfast is free to students eligible for free and reduced priced meals. The cost of breakfast is $1.25. It's important to know that, since we only have a few minutes, no money will be exchanged during second chance breakfast. You will have to have money on your cafeteria account. In addition to a full Grab and Go Breakfast, we''ll be offering a la carte breakfast items and flavored iced coffee for $2.

Lynchburg City Schools Spotlight:
ECG junior Noah Fretz was recently highlighted by Lynchburg City Schools in our Career Tech Spotlight.
CAREER TECH SPOTLIGHT
Hi, my name is Noah Fretz, and I am in the Machine Tool program in Lynchburg City Schools. Have you ever wondered how parts are made for machinery or other products you purchase? Do you like creating in a hands-on profession? In this course, I am learning the basics of machine tool operations and have created projects such as metal dice, jewelry, and an impossible puzzle. Currently, a lot of machinist are retiring, leaving a large gap of unfilled positions in the machining trade.
ECG senior Jasmine Richards was recently highlighted by Lynchburg City Schools in our Career Tech Spotlight.
Hi, my name is Jasmine Richards, and I am in the Athletic Training program in Lynchburg City Schools. This program is perfect for someone like me who is interested in sports and medicine. With the high school experience I have gained in the treatment, evaluation, taping, and rehabilitation of athletes, I already have a strong foundation that will directly connect me to my college career in Athletic Training.

Criminal Justice:
Students in Criminal Justice 1 and 2 spent the morning directing and controlling "traffic" at an "intersection." Students pretended to be drivers waiting to be directed around an accident at an intersection. Each student took their turn as the law enforcement officer directing traffic with hand signals we learned in class. They even wore the vest to go along with it.
Project Launchburg:
10th graders have left the building. On February 9th, all 10th graders at E.C. Glass and Heritage were able to participate in Project Launchburg, visiting local area colleges. #classof2019
