Being Future Ready
Our focus this year was the Future Ready Libraries movement and what it means to be "future ready". Schools with a certified librarian in place afford a range of services which support both staff and students while providing a unique and dynamic learning environment.
This year, we read as a group, Social Leadia, by Jennifer Casa-Todd. The book was chosen because librarians understand that social media should be a part of instruction. What better place for students to learn digital responsibility than from each other and their teachers?
Librarians play a critical role as they partner with teachers. They attend PLC's and provide support for instruction. Want to know more? Ask your librarian.
