PICK UP YOUR PRE-ORDER AUCTION "TO GO" MEALS TOMORROW EVENING
Thank you for supporting the 2021 ICCS PTO Virtual Auction fundraiser! The Auction "to go" meal count is in. Nearly 350 jambalaya dinners and 230 slices of Hunt Brothers Pizza have been pre-ordered and will be ready for pickup tomorrow evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Due to the possible threat of rain tomorrow afternoon and evening, the convenient drive-thru pick-up service has been slightly modified to keep everyone safe and dry! Special instructions and details will be sent to all Auction "to go" meal buyers tomorrow morning. Please check your email inbox for important details before driving to ICCS tomorrow evening to pick up your meals.
There are still a limited amount of jambalaya dinners available for purchase. If you are interested in reserving a jambalaya meal, please call (337) 433-3497 or email Ada O'Quain at asoquain@iccsweb.com ASAP.
Many thanks to Cheyenne Boudreaux and the Chenier Chefs and the Hurt and Henderson families and Hunt Brothers Pizza for their generosity, time and help with this auction-related project.
2019-2020 CLASS PROJECTS FEATURED
As many recall, we were seven days away from the 2020 ICCS PTO Dinner Auction when Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards announced the mandatory quarantine and school closures in March of last year. As a result, the 2019-2020 Auction class projects were never formally revealed or bid on. Unfortunately, 2020-2021 class projects were unable to be coordinated and created due to current COVID precautions and restrictions.
Look for your student's 2019-2020 teacher's name or grade for a description and photo of the class project. These special keepsakes were made with love by your student and his/her former classmates.

THE VIRTUE OF TRUSTWORTHINESS
ICCS PK-8th Grade students will be focusing on the virtue of Trustworthiness throughout the month of April. Trustworthiness means to act in a way that inspires confidence and trust; being reliable. Our students are learning about ways to cultivate trustworthiness, such as performing actions that restore and maintain trust; including acting with fidelity in small and large matters. Here is a small example of what students are learning in relation to this important virtue.
- Finishing a job or task well
- Delivering an important message to someone
- Turning homework in on time
- Telling the truth
- Knowing when to be silent; not gossiping about someone
- "I finished the job that you asked me to do."
- "You can depend on me. You can rely on me."
- "I turned my homework in on time."
- "I told the truth about breaking the plate."
- "Let’s not talk about him or her in that way."
USED TOY DONATIONS NEEDED
More details about the upcoming 2021 ICCS Summer Care Program will be included in the Spring packet that is scheduled to go out to all current and new ICCS families this month.
LIGHTS! CAMERA! ACTION!
Due to COVID restrictions, the annual ICCS Middle School Drama Production live performances were unable to take place this year, but that did not stop Mrs. Virginia-Kate Jessen and her Middle School enrichment students from producing two great video performances for all to enjoy. Check out the student's renditions of the comical murder mystery, "Cafe Murder" and "High School Musical." Both videos are posted below. Bravo to the Middle School students for producing two great video performances. Excellent work, everyone!

DIOCESE OF LAKE CHARLES NEWS
TOGETHER IN HOLINESS MARRIAGE CONFERENCE SCHEDULED FOR MAY 15
PRAYER AGAINST THE CORONAVIRUS
O Mary, you shine continuously along our journey as a sign of salvation and hope.
We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick, who at the Cross were near to the pain of Jesus, keeping your faith firm.
You, Salvation of the Roman people, know what we need, and we trust that you will provide for those needs so that, as at Cana of Galilee, joy and celebration may return after this moment of trial.
Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform ourselves to the will of the Father and to do what Jesus tells us, He who took our sufferings upon Himself, and took up our sorrows to bring us, through the Cross, to the joy of the Resurrection. Amen.
We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God. Do not despise our pleas – we who are put to the test – and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin.
