Davis/Martin Peek at the Week
April 30th - May 4th
Dear Parents,
Tomorrow marks the beginning of the ACT Aspire testing week. Each morning, students will take one of the following assessments: Math, Reading, Writing, Science, and English. It is very important that your child be at school on time. Please help to ease his or her nerves and be encouraging. A full night's sleep and breakfast each morning will help your child be successful, as well. We know our students are going to do an AWESOME job!
*Please make sure you are aware of the electronic policy during testing. There was a note sent home at the same time mid-quarters were passed out. Cell phones, smart watches, iPads, etc. should be left home, if possible, this week.*
After testing each day, our students will be participating in a Global Week of Design! We are in need of: popsicle sticks, any type of tape, and cardboard. If you have any of these things lying around, we would be grateful to have them! Thank you in advance!
Students will graduate from the D.A.R.E. program the afternoon of Tuesday the 1st at 1:00 p.m. We are also showing our appreciation towards our police officers by wearing blue that day.
If your child's reading/math log was not turned in on Friday for the month of April, please send it back by Tuesday of this week.
Mid-quarters were sent home Thursday. Please return them signed, or send a note, so we know that you have looked over your child's progress this fourth quarter.
