Message from Mrs. Martin, your principal
Next week is Teacher and Staff Appreciation. As much as we wish we can say Thank You to all of our staff in person, let's do a spirit week and tell our staff how much we appreciate them during our daily class meetings. Please see the picture below with details of the spirit week. Parents, feel free to join in on the fun! We love to see as many of you as possible.
Also, consider nominating us through Macaroni Kid (see below). We won last year because of so many wonderful nominations! We will share all of your "Shout Outs" with our staff. Thanks again for your support and dedication to the Bishop Community.
Please reach out with any questions or concerns.
Your principal,
Shanna Martin
WE NEED YOUR PARTICIPATION!!
Macaroni Kids is a go-to site for family fun, and parents look to us for advice on where to play, eat, shop, and more!
We want to help our readers show those our teachers and staff members how APPRECIATED they are by giving them the opportunity to show their love with Shout Outs to their favorites!
- Macaroni Kids will be sending the Shout Outs we collect to the schools that receive them every week so that you can share them with your staff.
- For those who share a Shout Out, they will randomly select a name each week to receive a special prize for their family.
- AND, they will be choosing one school from the complete list of Shout Outs to receive Pirates Cove admission tickets for our ENTIRE SCHOOL! We won this last year!!!
Wouldn't it be awesome if our school won?????

COUNSELOR'S CORNER
Hello Bishop Bears!
It is hard to believe we are already into May! It seems like we were all just gathering for Parent Teacher Conferences in February! It has been such a positive experience, watching students (and families) rise to the occasion of remote learning, coming to meetings, submitting work and keeping connected with our community. I have learned so many new things about technology and about other people, learning, sharing and teaching in this way!
I would like to share this resource from the National Alliance on Mental Illness. It is really focused on mental health during this time period and shares lots of resources and strategies.
More than any other spring I can remember, I am already eagerly looking ahead to the time when we can all gather together again in our beautiful new Bishop Building! Please let me know if there are ways I can support you during this time of remote learning, or if there are resources that I can help you locate or access.
Take care,
Kim Fickas
