Our Mission is to use current and ubiquitous technology in the classroom to support instructional goals, student performance, and meet the challenges of an ever changing digital society.

Ringing in the New School Year with #RingtheBelle

It’s coming this October! #RingTheBelle will be your opportunity to experience professional learning that is completely participant driven. This is an “unconference” organized by BPS educators for BPS educators. There is no cost and no agenda. You are encouraged to come with topics you want to discuss, passions you want to share, and questions you wish to pose to your colleagues.

Participants will create the agenda, lead sessions, and draw on individual and collective expertise. Instead of one person standing in the front of the room talking for an hour, everyone will be encouraged to find sessions that meet their needs and interests. Sessions will be diverse and eclectic because they will grow out of your interests and expertise.

Mark October 3rd on your calendar and come be a part of this a fun and interactive learning event!

Bellevue Public Schools Goes BYOD

One of the exciting initiatives taking place this school year is happening at East and West High Schools where the foundation is being set for BYOD (Bring Your Own Device). Administrators and interested teachers are in the planning stages that will provide teachers and students more access to technology in the classroom. BYOD takes advantage of the technology students know and have to take learning to new heights. Stay tuned for updates!

BYOD Resources

The following websites are filled with great resources on BYOD:

Techin' Up in the Tent

The tech trio of Ann, Jeanette, and Jeff have been busy “Collabing around the Campfire” with various Bellevue Public Schools groups. We started the adventure around the fire by getting the new teachers all fired up about the district technology resources. The next group of campers, the Building Technology Coordinators (BTCs), started their school year with a full day of technology training to light their campfires for the school year. Todd Tripple, Director of Instruction and Professional Learning, shared his vision for instructional technology for this year. BTCs added logs to their fires as they set goals that align to our instructional technology vision. The iPad Academy teachers will be coming soon to fill their camping survival kits with innovative ideas and lessons to impact instruction. To round out the month, our new teachers will be coming back for s’more instructional technology training!

Coming Soon....Semester 1 Techie Tuesday

Techie Tuesday's are our way of providing meaningful technology training. We focus on one topic to provide the opportunity for mastery and enthusiasm to try in your classroom the very next day. Our first Techie Tuesday of the year is September 22nd. Our topic for September is Documenting and Reflecting with Video. The day's learning will focus on how visual creativity enhances learning experiences. Come learn how to create and edit movies that tell a story and document learning. Develop strategies to share, collaborate, and personalize learning while becoming proficient with iMovie, YouTube, playlists, and other multimedia tools.

In order to attend this training, simply fill out the form, Request to Attend a Conference, from your school and have your principal approve it. Your school is responsible for providing a substitute and you will spend the day with us at Lewis and Clark Middle School in our office room A122.
