1. Full Orchestra rehearsal, Today 4:30-6:30 in ORCHESTRA RM (make-up from 1/31 ice day)

2. Plano Cluster Chamber Music Recital, Today, 7pm in Auditorium

3. Chamber Ensemble Coaching this week during classes (NO PRIVATE LESSONS)

• SYMPHONIC & WE - Tuesday Woodwinds / Wednesdays Brass
• WE Percussion Sectional - Wednesday (go to A lunch)
• Concert 1 & 2 - Wednesdays

4. Orchestra Pre-UIL, tomorrow @ Custer Road United Methodist Church (flyer attached)

• Bring formal wear to school
• 3:30p - load equipment truck (All available orchestra personnel & other officers)
• 4:00p - Go to CRUMC / unload equipment
• 5:00p - Dress rehearsal (ALL personnel)
• 6:00p - Break
• 7:00p - Concert starts
• 8:00p - Concert ends. Help tear down / load equipment truck. Return to PSHS to unload equipment

5. Plano Percussion Chamber Music Festival, Fri-Sat @ PSHS

6. UIL Solo & Ensemble Contest, Saturday @ PESH

• ***Bring your original score with measures numbered.**
• Chamber Ensemble leaders are responsible for bringing original scores

1. Solo & Ensemble Payment - WAY PAST DUE!!!!!

• Pay entry fees here or to the black box!
• $15 per solo
• $15 per ensemble member

2. Perform Chamber Ensembles for class, DUE THURSDAY & FRIDAY (serves as Prism audition)

1. UIL Music Test #1 in Sectionals, DUE Feb. 21 & 22

2. HONORS Band Senior Project Proposals, DUE March 31

• proposals must be typed

2. Full Orchestra rehearsal, Feb. 21, 4:30-6:30 (last one before UIL!)

3. UIL Orchestra Concert & Sightreading Contest, Feb. 23 @ PESH (schedule attached)

• 7th period release
• Performance time: 6:20p
• Sightread: 7:05p

4. P-Town Jazz Festival, Feb. 25

In addition, please keep in mind the following dates for marching band contests: Sept 30 (PEMI), Oct 7 (MMI), Oct 14 (UIL), Oct 21 (Area).

With Fall Break occurring October 9-13, 2023, there will be no marching band events planned from Oct 8-11. Because of UIL Marching Contest on October 14, the Plano Band will return to rehearse on Thursday & Friday, October 12-13.

We appreciate all of our families scheduling vacations around the very important dates.
