Summer Learning Hike
BCPS is a summer learning opportunity that can be accessed through BCPSOne digital learning tools. It offers students the chance to review reading and math content. Participation in the Summer Learning Hike is optional but encouraged. Weekly updates are sent by the administration to let you know if your child met the goal!
The digital resources are student directed and should not require parent support. The lessons are designed to adjust based on your child’s results. If the first few lessons seems too easy or too hard, please allow your child to work independently so that the Summer Learning Hike can adapt to the appropriate level. This will allow your child to meet with success.
If your child has questions or needs support, BCPS has also established LIVE support, Monday–Friday, provided by BCPS teachers. This support can be accessed through established Google Meets rooms. Guidance for accessing the Google Meets rooms is linked on the Corona/Covid-19 portion of the BCPS website and under support in BCPSOne.
Accessing Technology Support Services
BCPS students and parents can access technology support from trained support professionals for BCPS issued equipment. Support is offered to students and parents as follows:
- Seek help from the teacher first if the student is trying to access a resource or has questions on the assigned work.
- Use Self Help resources to answer basic technology questions.
- Call the Technology Help Desk at 443-809-4672 from 7 a.m. ‑ 4:15 p.m. on regularly scheduled school days.
- Parents must accompany students when calling for support.
- For security reasons, parents will be asked to confirm their identity.
- Request support on BCPS’ Technology Support Center Web site.
- Support tickets are resolved from 7 a.m. ‑ 4:15 p.m. on regularly scheduled school days
- Allow a minimum of 24 hours for a response to a support ticket
- Software installations will not occur for students at this time
