Advanced Placement Exams 2022-2023
As we finalize course selections for the 2022-2023 school year, we know there are students who have been recommended for/will be taking an Advanced Placement (AP) course for the first time.
We wanted to ensure that students and families are aware of the expectations and requirements for AP courses and required exams.
We hope you find this information helpful.

Top Dogs This Month
Our third Top Dog is Luci Pumphrey. Luci is an active member of the Rockland Community both in school and out. She is a 3-year member of the Bulldog Buddies program and a member of the art club. She is a writer for the School newspaper and a 4-year participant in the chorus. Luci is not only a runner for Cross Country but also the Team Manager. Outside of school she works at Webster Timber Lanes weekly and sells pizza at Luci's restaurant. Luci is also involved in Student Government Council and Gay-Straight Alliance. She plans to attend the RHS Transitions program next year and continue her vocational training.

Women's History Month
One example is listed below:
Former First Lady, Eleanor Roosevelt.
-She was the first First Lady to ever hold a Press Conference and she held it with an all-women Press Corps.
-She played a very active role in helping FDR as president, traveling for him when his polio prevented him from traveling.
-She was an outspoken civil rights activist who resigned her membership in the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) when the organization refused to allow African American opera singer, Marian Anderson, to perform in its Constitution Hall in Washington, D.C. The singer was later invited by Mrs. Roosevelt to perform at the Lincoln Memorial.
She also famously said,
"Where, after all, do universal human rights begin? In small places, close to home - so close and so small that they cannot be seen on any maps of the world ... Such are the places where every man, woman and child seeks equal justice, equal opportunity, equal dignity without discrimination. Unless these rights have meaning there, they have little meaning anywhere.”
National Poetry Month
Come celebrate National Poetry Month in April and participate in a "A Poem in Your Pocket." Students can select and print a poem they find meaningful, roll it into a scroll, and then place it in a basket in high-traffic areas. All students are encouraged to take a poem and hopefully be inspired or enjoy a quick bit of reading!
