A Message from the Principal
Dear parents and community members,
Fulton’s Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) has accomplished much during the past five years. Following are a few highlights of projects completed since 2012: five new or replacement schools opened, four middle school additions were completed, 33 playgrounds and 23 gyms were replaced at elementary schools, new security cameras were installed in all district buses along with visitor access control installed in all schools, and more than 20,000 computers were refreshed or deployed to teachers, schools and employees. To learn more about completed projects and proposed new projects, visit www.fulltonschools.org/SPLOST or contact SPLOSTInfo@fultonschools.org. Investing in Fulton’s future: one penny at a time!

Students Excel at National Spanish Examinations!
Congratulations to several world language students from TRMS who attained national recognition for excellent performance on the 2016 National Spanish Examinations. Students from TRMS earned a total of 22 gold medals, 5 silver, and 2 bronze medals out of 28 students taking the test. "Attaining a medal or honorable mention for any student on the National Spanish Examinations is very prestigious," said Kevin Cessna-Buscemi, National Director of the Exams, "because the exams are the largest of their kind in the United States with over 160,000 students participating in 2016."
22 students from the State of Georgia got 1st place; 9 of those students are from Taylor Road. Congratulations to Jillian Armstrong, Jaehun Seo, Jonah Haber, Erin Menezes, Hannah Oh, Charles Li, Amelfa Bleyl, Suraj Peramanu, and Hyoungjin Kim for their 1st place scores! Congratulations to their Spanish teachers as well, Maria Andres and Ileana San Antonio! The National Spanish Examinations are administered each year in grades 6 through 12, and are sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese.
End of school ~ means it’s time for the last 8th grade party…

We also need cases of water (24 bottles), assorted boxes (50 small bags) of chips, store bought cookies (24 pack), donations for prizes ($5 or less), gift card prizes ($5 or less) volunteers to set-up, volunteers to serve lunch, work the inflatables, and last but not least ~ a clean-up crew… This is your last chance to volunteer at TRMS for your 8th graders, and we can use LOTS OF HELP! Let’s make this a great event for the last day in middle school :)
