MASK REMINDERS
As we continue to require masks for students, please remember the following:
It’s a good idea to wash your child’s mask frequently, ideally daily if possible.
Please ensure that your child has a few masks to rotate throughout the average school week
Please send an extra mask in your child’s backpack in the event they need another mask
When choosing masks for your child, please look for masks that have 2 or more layers of breathable fabric, cover their nose and mouth, fit snugly across the sides of their face, and don’t have gaps.
If you need help with getting additional masks, please contact the school’s main office.
Thank you to Kim Domzil for snapping pictures of the students who helped to make me into a human sundae!
Here Olivia is topping me with carmel sauce!
Although making me into a sundae was exciting, it wasn’t nearly as exciting as meeting and exceeding our goals to raise funds for Ben Franklin’s PTO! Our first goal was to raise $10,000 to add to classroom libraries. Students who engage in reading books of their choosing can grow their skills not only in reading but in ALL content areas! We will be growing our classroom libraries to offer more choices for our students! We also exceeded our stretch goal and this will allow our PTO to continue to support our students and teachers in many ways!
Thank you to all of the families and caregivers who supported this exciting fundraiser!!!
Have a fantastic week!

Pending CDC Approval, FPS Hosting Life Change Pharmacy COVID-19 Vaccine Clinics for Ages 5 & Up Next Week
The CDC will be voting on approval for COVID-19 vaccines for ages 5-11 this week. Pending this approval, Franklin Public Schools will partner with Life Change Pharmacy to hold two COVID-19 vaccine clinics next week. At this time, we are collecting interest from families so we can best prepare for the number of doses needed for anyone ages 5 and up in your family. Signing up now will help us with our planning and offer the ability to secure the needed number of doses before next week. Please note: Filling out this form does not guarantee you an appointment. This is for information and planning purposes only.
If these clinics run, they will be held next Tuesday, November 9th, and Thursday, November 11th from 4:30p-7p in the Commons at Forest Park Middle School. We will communicate again with final details at the email address you provide in the interest form. We will look to offer more opportunities like this in the future.
If you have any questions about whether or not to have your child vaccinated against COVID-19, please contact your child’s primary health care provider to discuss.
