2nd Semester Viking Pride & Spirit Day
Every THURSDAY is Viking Pride Day. Please remind your child to wear their Viking shirt or school colors every Thursday. The expectation for Spirit Days is that all clothing worn will be school appropriate and follow the school dress code policy.

5/26 - Anything But A Backpack
Student may not bring humans (friends, siblings, etc.) or animals. Anything But A Backpack day is for students to bring something to carry their school supplies in other than their backpack. Parents please make sure it is school appropriate.
STARS Reward Day: Friday, May 26th
TREAT DONATIONS needed for our STARS Reward Day!
We need lots of STORE BOUGHT only goodies for our STARS Cake Walk.
Please bring in cookies ~ brownies ~ cupcakes ~ doughnuts ~ candy bars ~ individual variety snack packs ~ any store bought treat. No refrigerated items. Please drop off any donations to the main office by Thursday, May 25th. Thank You!

Awards Night
We set high academic standards for our students at Valley View and firmly believe in our school motto, “STRIVE FOR EXCELLENCE.”

Note: Parents/Guardians will receive an email notification informing them that their child is receiving an award for their accomplishments and will be recognized at our awards ceremony. Email notifications will be sent on Wednesday, May 24th.
Constitution Day: Student Art Competition

Note: This Art competition is for students in grades PK-12 to share their artistic talent in portraying their interpretations of the Constitution Day Conference theme: “Civic Imagination: Preparing students for new horizons.” Selected prize winners will receive awards and an opportunity to showcase their artwork at the Reagan Library and a FREE entrance to the library.

ATTENDANCE is IMPORTANT
Good attendance equals improved school performance. Please call the office if your child is absent to avoid a truancy. (Absences that are not cleared within 5 days automatically turn to a truant.) Valley Views 24 Hour Attendance Line is 805-520-6820 option 2 or ext. 1320. Please avoid tardies for your child. It is very important to be at school on time as it enables classroom learning to be more effective.
