Mrs. Owings
Grade and Classes you teach: 8th grade Science
How long have you been teaching at SJ? This is my first year at SJ.
What is your favorite place? My favorite place in the world is Maui. The weather and the wildlife. Not to mention the beach and the waterfalls. I love the laid back island life, and it's a nice reminder that we have to take a break every once in a while and enjoy the little things.
What do you love about teaching? My favorite thing about being a teacher is the kids. Even on hard days I love seeing their faces and enjoying their personalities. I love to learn who each and every one of them are. What they enjoy and their sense of humor.

R.I.S.E. U.P. is a way of creating a standard of excellence for everyone involved with the school. Teachers, students and parents are learning together this year how to bring out the best in each other and in ourselves. These are the parts of the puzzle that help us develop our potential - a roadmap to excellence in character and performance.
