Math
This week in math we continued with our study of place value. We looked at what happens to the value of a number when the decimal is moved to the left or right when multiplying and dividing with exponents. On Wednesday, we took a post test on multiplying and dividing with decimals using exponents and powers of ten.
Next week we will begin to write decimals in numeric and expanded form followed by rounding and comparing decimals to evaluate their value.
Reading/Literacy
Science
This week in Science, we did several labs to test Newton's 3rd Law, the Law of Inertia, and the Law of Gravitation. Students also took their first Vocabulary test on Wednesday. Ask your child which will land first, a bowling ball or a tennis ball?
