Harper Middle College High School

Reassignment and Transfer Period to Harper is from March 6th-June 30th

Follow these steps:

1. In order to take college classes, you will need both a CMS ID# and a CPCC ID#. You will need to apply to CPCC through the College Foundation (CFNC). It's easy and directions are HERE.

2. Apply to Harper through Reassignment/Transfer. Choose the 2023-2024 school year.


3. Take our Entrance Survey so we have both student and parent contact information.


We will contact you once we receive a notification from Student Placement that you have applied and are eligible for the program.


Please make sure you meet all program requirements listed below.

2023-2024 Middle College Requirements

All middle college high school classes are at the Honors or AP level. Academic rigor and practical application are essential.

Important Information

Sibling Guarantees: There are no sibling guarantees to Middle College High School Programs.

Application Completion: The following must be completed and submitted by 10:00 pm on the last day of the lottery:

  1. CPCC Application completed (secure a CPCC ID #)
  2. Harper MCHS Entrance Survey completed (via google)
  3. Application to the CMS Lottery Completed.

School Calendar: Middle College High Schools operate on a school calendar that is aligned to the CPCC academic calendar. It is different from the CMS calendar. You can find the Middle College HS calendar on the calendar tab of the CMS website and we've included one below.

CMS Classes & CPCC Class Schedules: Students take their remaining high school required courses for graduation during this time frame: 11:15 a.m. until 4:15 p.m. Students can take their CPCC classes any time they are not taking a high school class.

Afterschool Activities: Middle College High School students are only allowed to participate in athletics, cheerleading and marching band at their home school.
