Laundry room going green

Air-Dry your clothes

To air dry your clothes you need to just hang them up either outside or inside, depending on the weather. This is considered green because you're reducing your energy consumption because your dryer is one of the biggest energy suckers in your house. I would do this because my grandma does it and I absolutely love how fresh the clothes smell especially during the spring when you can smell all the flowers. This cost is very cheap also because all you need is a clothes line and some clothes pins.

Energy star washing machine

This is a washing machine, all you have to do is put your clothes and detergent in it and start it. This is considered Green because it uses 37% less energy and 50% less water than non-rated models. Yes I would use this because it is saving a lot of energy. The cost can vary but is typically around $700-$800.

Eco-Friendly Laundry Detergent

This is any laundry detergent that is Eco-friendly. All you have to do is put it in your washing machine. This product is considered green because it is healthier for your family and healthy for the environment, because they are natural laundry detergent versus ones that use chemicals and stuff. Yes I would use this method because it is a lot better for me and my family. This cost can vary but they recommend using soap nuts which a bag that is bought on amazon can cost around $30-$40.
