The Scholastic Book Fair is Coming Again!

We are also excited to announce that we will have a second Scholastic Book Fair this year! Our Scholastic Book Fair in September was only available for two days due to our inclement weather school closing, so we are excited to have the book fair returning next month!

The book fair will be here on February 5-9, and we can't wait for you to see all of the new books that will be available! This will be a great time to add some new books to your home libraries and just in time for Valentine's Day too! We are so appreciative of your support of our book fair!!

Preschool Illness Policies --- Please Review!

It's the time of year when unfortunately a lot of colds, coughs, and illnesses will be going around. Please review the information below taken directly from our handbook.

If your child becomes ill during the day, we will call you. If you are unavailable, we will call one of your emergency numbers. Please keep all phone numbers (cell, home and office) current.

Please let us know within 24 hours if your child contracts a CONTAGIOUS or COMMUNICABLE disease (such as chicken pox, strep, pink eye, lice, pin worms, viral infections, mumps, measles, scarlet fever or fifth’s disease) and we will notify other parents as necessary.

The preschool makes every effort to protect the health and safety of the children. For the child’s own protection and that of others in the school, your child should be kept at home when you see signs of colds or other illnesses.

Any child who has any of the following symptoms should not attend school:

Severe cold Red or sore eyes Persistent cough Green discharge from nose or eyes Sore throat Ear ache Swollen glands *Nausea or vomiting *Fever *Diarrhea *Rashes

*Your child must be free of these symptoms without the aid/use of medicine for 24 hours before returning back to preschool.

Inclement Weather Reminder

In the event of inclement weather, the Weekday Preschool will follow the same closings as Clarke County Schools. If Clarke County Schools have called for a one-hour delay, the Weekday Preschool will still begin on time. If Clarke County is delayed two hours, we will close. If the preschool feels it is in the best interest of families and teachers to close the preschool due to the weather, we will send an email to you as soon as possible to update you.
