A Message From Mr. Garrett
I wanted to reach out and share how proud I am to be a Mustang. I appreciate and enjoy the opportunity to be able to work with such dedicated staff and awesome students you send us daily to the "Original" Ridge.
For those of you that took the time to share feedback about WMS, I really appreciate your time and input. I've started looking through the data and will continue to reflect on ways of making WMS a better place with the feedback you have provided.
On another note, please take time to look through all the information provided each week in the parent newsletter, but this week I wanted to especially highlight our WPTO. The WPTO conducts ONE fundraiser each year and it is just around the corner! I hope you can take the time to encourage your child to participate in the fundraiser. The funds raised go back to support the students in various ways like the 8th gr. Dance or inflatables for Spring Fling. Without this fundraiser and the WPTO, many of these activities would not be possible for our students.
Have a great weekend!

ROCK THE WALK
Mustangs…Get Your Walking Shoes On! Our annual Rock the Walk is coming Thursday, March 12th! This is your chance to have fun, get fit, and help make the rest of this year a great one at Wheatridge! With everyone’s help we can make the WMS Rock the Walk a fun day for the whole school! Your student has received a collection envelope, letter of explanation and prize sheet.
Please note: 100% of the funds WMS students raise will go directly to WPTO to benefit our students and teachers.
Rock the Walk will take place at WMS during school hours on Thursday, March 12th. Participation is FREE. During their elective hours, students will get the chance to walk through a variety of stations to learn about different ways to stay fit. In addition to walking/running on the track, students may also learn about power lifting, jazzercise and even go through a mini boot camp!
We are looking forward to a fun event!
