For our Active Monitors during STAAR...
Reminder: Small Group Instruction during Library Time
As sent out by Lisa, this is a reminder that Stephanie has allocated a small group table in the library area. All reading teachers will pull a small group in the library during library time. This expectation is to help give much-needed extra instructional time to our students (an extra 30 minutes per class!).
A few reminders:
- reading teachers will pull a small group or flex group during library time
- Small group can be at the allocated table or other area in the library (one teacher is using the squishy chairs to make it more fun)
- students needing extra I-Station time can also use the library computers during library time
- reading teachers may need to assist students in choosing appropriate books for their reading level and topic choice
- 2nd Grade area restrooms and hallway area will have to be quieter: 2nd and 3rd grade teachers, please only send 1 or 2 children out to the restroom at a time, and remind students there will be instruction going on right outside the 2nd grade hallway doors (it's been a little loud for the groups being pulled...)
5 Ways to Leave a Legacy
What kind of legacy do you want to leave? I encourage you to think about it because knowing how you want to be remembered helps you decide how to live and work today. Please click on the link to go to Jon Gordon's weekly newsletter to read about the 5 types of legacies Jon Gordon discusses in his book Training Camp. Email me your thoughts as you consider the ways you can leave a legacy, and what you may have to work on to get there.
1. A Legacy of Excellence
2. A Legacy of Encouragement
3. A Legacy of Purpose
4. A Legacy of Love
5. A Legacy of __________________. What word would you choose?
