Harbor Light Drama Class 2020 Variety Show
Ava Powell, 3rd Grade
"She works so hard. She never whines that things are too hard. She gives her best to all she does. Ava is a gentle soul and I just love her."
Mrs. Johnson
Daniel Dawley, 6th Grade
"Daniel showed such kindness, gentleness, and patience when paired with two others in a group project. He very easily could have rushed ahead by instead he waited for his partners, helped them find the information, and was extremely patient in the process."
Mrs. Kruger
Eunsung Park, 10th Grade
"During a recent group project, ES was stretched into a leadership position within a group and rose to the challenge. He was tasked with helping some of his groupmates overcome bias and draw logical conclusions from data. This was hard - those are hard discussions to have with your peers. He did well. ES has a lot of potential to become a good leader as he continues to grow in confidence and communication skills."
Mr. Ernst
CALL FOR COACHES
Harbor Light Swordsmen sports teams have thrived since the beginning of the school with amazing Christian role models who have volunteered as coaches for our students. We have a couple opportunities opening up at HLCS coming up this spring and next fall!
Our softball coach, Kurt Brushaber has decided his coaching experience would come to an end with his daughter graduating last year. Also, our soccer program, which has been a staple in HLCS athletics since the inception of the school, fizzled out a couple of years ago with a lack of interest. However, after speaking to our upcoming students, we appear to have a great deal of kids interested in soccer again! This will require a coach to facilitate reviving the program.
If either of these are a place you would enjoy investing your time, please contact our athletic director, Shelda Blair at sblair@harborlight.org.
