- Reading Assessment: Wednesday, April 24, 2019
- We will continue working on our fREADom reading.
- We will continue to work on summarizing using GIST and checking our comprehension by using Author’s Portrait.
- We will continue to practice our choral reading. This is a great way to help with fluency. We read a paragraph together out loud as a class at a pace that I set. The more we practice this, the faster we will get and the more fluent we will become. The kids really have fun doing this!
- Your child should continue reading nightly for 30 minutes and then getting their reading log initialed.
Social Studies:
- We will begin looking at the diverse people of the west, Mexicanos, Pioneers, Mormons, Forty-Niners, Chinese Immigrants Oregon Pioneers and Nez Perce.
