What Water Does to Keep You Healthy
Your body is about 60% water, so you body needs water. Water is used for almost everything in your body. You lose water in almost everything you do. Therefore water is the biggest necessity for your body.
How Much Water Should You Drink?
Anyone 13 and older should drink about 2 liters of water a day. Which is about 10 cups of water daily.
Can Too Much Water Cause Health Problems?
Yes, when you drink too much water you can be come over hydrated. You get over hydrated when your kidneys can't function correctly with too much water. Also, the water can dilute the amount of sodium in your blood which causes problems.
Can Not Enough Water Cause Problems Too?
Yes, when you don't drink enough water, you body gets dehydrated. When you get dehydrated, there is not enough water in your body to get rid of waste and urine causing many kidney problems.
Good Sources For Water
Most every fruit and vegetable has water in it, but the top foods that provide you with water would be: cucumbers, lettuce, celery, radishes, and tomatoes. Water can be found in almost every section of the food pyramid, but it is usually found in the fruits and vegetables.
