A Note from Miss Caitlyn
Dear Lincoln, Logan & McPherson County 4-H Families,
Thank you for a fantastic 2023 Lincoln/Logan/McPherson County fair(s)! Thank you to the 4-H council members and volunteers who helped make each fair a success. Congratulations to all exhibitors on a job well done. Good luck to all exhibitors who will be bringing exhibits to the Nebraska State fair this weekend.
The first annual 4-H Day at the Nebraska State Fair will be Sunday, August 27th. This is not just for exhibitors, but for any 4-H member.
Save the date for our Lincoln County 4-H End of Year Banquet on November 5th. We will recognize: Diamond Clover award recipients, record book winners, our Champion Intermediate Livestock judging team at PASE, Clover Kids, 2, 5, & 10 year members and leaders. Horsemanship awards and horse advancement level awards are also given out in addition to new 4-H council members being announced. I encourage you all to attend and celebrate with us!

2023 Nebraska 4-H Volunteer Recognition
The 2023 Nebraska 4-H Volunteer Recognition will be taking place on Sunday, August 27th at approximately 3:30 pm, prior to the 4-H Final Drive at 4:00 pm. If you are on the grounds, join us in the Five Points Bank Arena to help celebrate the outstanding individuals listed below!
The Vrbka, Ott and King Families from Polk County is receiving the Multi-Generation Family of Volunteers Award. Additional family members include:

Lindsay Mendenhall, 4-H member in Chase County, is receiving the Outstanding Youth Volunteer Award. This award recognizes a 4-H member, ages 14-18, who has made a meaningful impact on their local 4-H community.
Eleven individuals are receiving Emerging Adult Volunteer Awards. These awards recognize volunteers who have served less than three years in their local 4-H community. One individual is recognized for each Nebraska Extension Engagement Zone. Recipients include:

Clover Kids
1. The purpose of Clover Kids program is to promote the positive development of youth to become
competent, caring, contributing citizens. The learning experience is the primary reason for involvement in the program.
2. Any youth ages 5 to 7 by January 1st who is enrolled in the Clover Kid program is eligible to enter exhibits in this division.
3. All exhibits are noncompetitive and will receive participation ribbons with no premium monies.
4. Clover Kids may enter 1 item per class number.

1. Each Clover Kid may bring one entry per class number in the classes listed below.
2. Clover Kids may share an animal owned and properly identified by an older sibling in Lincoln, Logan, and McPherson counties. All animals must meet health requirements. All animals need County Only Tag or Registration Tattoo and animal ID sheet.
3. Dogs and cats must be properly vaccinated, and the 4-H vaccination sheet must be completed.
