Matt's Monday Memo
February 18, 2020
Good morning, Staff,
Hey all,
In between our morning on Friday and our time together in the afternoon, I am so grateful for our teachers and staff. Most especially, your willingness to be a resource to share (Mark Young, Kerry Arens, Dana Miller, Mindy Siefert, Chloe Telle, and Kara Siebe), ask questions (Sarah Gray and Rita Chapman), and learn. I certainly am unable to name all parties that engaged this morning but today was an example of the learning community we have, one that is directed toward bettering our work for our students and for each other. Thanks for all you do and have a great week.
Matt

- Congratulations to Jeff Stein and his students for their crepe sale last week--they raised $110, which will be going directly to Safe Connections!
- Congratulations to Julie Burchett and the History Club for the many celebrations lately! She shared:
I’ve had over 12 students apply for the Student Election Judge program. Once trained, they will be working the polls at upcoming elections. This number of applications is four times the number of applicants we have ever had in our years of promoting this program for St. Louis County Board of Elections.
Final count of seniors newly registered to vote from History Club’s Voter Registration Drive was 152! History Club was supported by the Social Justice Club who helped track down the last missing pieces of information from students in order to complete their registrations. Social Justice Club is now working on a ‘Get Out the Vote’ plan to remind and make sure all our registered seniors go vote at the upcoming March and April elections."
