Welcome to our new Columbia Community Fitness Center newsletter where you can find information about schedules, staff, contests, special events and a whole lot more. We will have a paper copy of our newsletter available at the Fitness Center desk.
Columbia Community Fitness Center welcomes anyone to join. You do not have to live in the Brooklyn/Columbia area. We offer Silver Sneakers through most insurances, a great variety of classes and a great weight room. Come check us out!!!
Announcements:
This also includes the Fitness Center. All Fitness classes are CANCELLED. All Youth sports practices and every practice/activities inside any of the buildings will also be CANCELLED.
We will also be doing 10-20 minute Facebook live videos so that you can still feel connected at home. Stay tuned.
This week the "at home" workouts are all about Family time. Join us in a fun, energizing and family oriented workout.
Courtney and her kids will be doing the "Baby Shark" ab Challenge on Wednesday at 11am. Join in!!

An example of a weekly workout.
Monday: A Brisk 30-45 min walk/run followed by stretches and 10 min abs
Tuesday: Body weight lifting- Push- up, calf raises, squats, wall sits, tricep dips off of a chair, bicep curls, overhead press- get creative with weights if you want more resistance- soup cans, water bottles or anything round you can wrap your hands around.
Wednesday: Another brisk walk/run 30-45 min followed by abs and stretches
Thursday: Rest Day- Yoga or just stretching
