Jaime D. Padron Elementary

Science and CATCH Night

Raquel Reyna from Little Walnut Library brought in two STEM kits to the library for Science/ CATCH Night. One kit allowed students to build out their imagination with K'nex. The second kit, Snap Circuits, allowed students to follow diagrams to build a battery-powered circuit.

All are invited to attend special programming at our local branch. These include free-play video games and a showing of Minions. See flyer (ALW_calendar) below for details.

Congratulations to our first 100-point-earners, Sofia and Athciri, in Mrs. Arellano's class!

3-Week Competition

This AR competition will culminate in an AR Rewards Celebration on Friday Feb. 26, 2016, 1:30-2:30. Winners will include top point-earners and most improved, and will be announced Friday morning. Winners will spend time in the library at various stations with volunteers from Apple (Apple the makers of our iPads? Yup, those guys!).

Special thanks to Mrs. Arellano and Ms. Huntley for being flexible with their library class time.

AISD-provided Online Resources

The district pays for us to have access to a long list of resources. Team leaders were asked to share this list so that all teachers could use as needed. Please remember to use code 4BEA-95A3 when signing up for Discovery Streaming teacher accounts. The list is included below.
